Mattressi
I was playing through mission 3 and had to leave home before I could finish it. So, I saved the replay/track and when I got back, I opened the replay, took control near where I left off and then finished the mission. I got "Mission Success" and quit out, but after that, I didn't see any option to progress to the next mission of the campaign. I remember reading somewhere that you can use track files as kind of save files. Is this still true? If so, how do I get the campaign to move onto mission 4, using the track file? If this isn't possible, how do I make the campaign move onto mission 4 anyway (i.e. skip mission 3)?
Ktulu2
At worst just open mission 4. You might end up doing this any way, as for me : I really like the F-15 and decided to train with the campaign, it went not so bad untill the 6th or 7th mission. At that point, I was escorting F-15Es agaisnt quads of Su-27s and AI being what it is, the mission was impossible : F-15s jettinsoned their bombs as soon as they were locked, and as their was ALSO SAMs in there, you can imagine that happened quickly... Mattressi
At worst just open mission 4. You mean in the "Missions" section? If I finish mission 4 in the missions section, will I then be able to play mission 5 in the campaign section or will I need to do the campaign missions through the mission section from now on? Ktulu2
No, you'll have to do them from the mission editor, but you will be able to say you finished the campaign, as it is the same in the end. Note that its located in campaings if I remember corecly. It depends on wich module you are talking about. Boris
You can always edit your logbook.lua to progress. logbook.lua is located in your saved games\DCS\Mission Editor folder. Make sure you use a more advanced text editor like notepad 2 (just google it), to make sure the information is properly formatted. Then scroll down to the campaign in question and change the stage number and file name of the mission that was last played to the one that should be next. You can finish mission by opening reply, fast forward and continue to point where you take over and finish the mission. But after you get mission success, your campaign isn't saved and you can't progress..You then have to manually edit logbook.lua (located in your saved games\DCS\Mission Editor folder). You can edit file so that you add your aa/ag kills for that specific mission, success rate set to 100%, and change the stage number and file name of the mission that was last played to the one that should be next..
