Bomb Effectiveness ??

Hi,

I've been playing the P-51D campaign in the 1.2.8 Beta. I've had difficulty with a few missions due to the ineffectiveness of the rockets or bombs, particularly in Mission 18 - Bombs with More Difficulty.miz. I have dropped both bombs directly in the middle of the grouped trucks and have not been able to destroy any more than 2 trucks.

 

This does not seem realistic in terms of the expected damage radius of 2 x 500 lb bombs. Based on other games and youtube footage of modern bombs I would have expected a bigger damage radius for 2 bombs.

 

Has anyone got an explanation for this apparent ineffectiveness, is this by design or is it a bug.

DCS doesn't have implemented the fragmentation effect of the warheads, so no long-distance secondary damage.
