Hi guys,

Need a little help if thats ok:

I am creating a mission to help me learn a few handling basics in the A10.

I have added a Trigger Zone on the map, but dont know how to trigger it. This is what i want it to do; pretty straight forward i guess - if you know how:

  • When my aircraft enters the zone

  • Show text on the screen (like in the training missions), and play a sound (in this case, a voice audio file or sound effect (file format?)).

This is to apply to the 'player' aircraft (namely, me!) only - not to trigger should AI fly in to it.

If i have multiple trigger zones, how do i 'bind' rules to a particular zone? Should the name of the trigger match the name of the zone?

Also, if i save the .miz file for back up or to give to a friend, will the audio sound be embedded in it, or do i need to save that separately?

Thanks for your help :)

The trigger zone will do nothing alone. "It needs a rule" which can be set using set trigger rules button on the left vertical tool bar.(6th one down)

Your airplane/chopper will by default be called New Airplane group if it is the first unit of its type on the map.

So the rule you need to create will be,

Once>>All of Group In Zone>New Airplane group>New Trigger Zone>>Message to Group>New Airplane Group>Type message you want to see when you fly into trigger zone and set length of time message is displayed.

For the sound repeat or clone the above trigger rule and instead of message to group make it Sound to Group>New Airplane Group>navigate to sound file of your choice.

The sound will be embedded into the mission

Hope thats clear enough for you:)
