Bluestream Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Hello! So I'm considering buying the F-15C, I already own the A-10C and I'm having a lot of fun with it. My question is though, there are two versions of the A-10 currently, there's the A-10A that you get with FC3 and the standalone C version aswell. I'm under the impression that ED will make a more advanced version of the F-15C aswell in the future (like they did with the A-10). So what I'm wondering is if I buy the F-15C (the standalone one that is also included in FC3) does that mean I will also get the more advanced version of it in the future when that is released or would that be another purchase whenever that's out (of course, I realise this may be a while)? The reason I'm asking is because they call the current standalone F-15C an open beta. An open beta of what? FC3 has been out for a long time now and there's no beta of that. Would be nice if someone could clarify this for me or point me in the right direction. Thanks.
Exorcet Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 The single FC3 modules only exist to save people money if they don't want to buy all of FC3. If the FC3 F-15 is upgraded to full DCS level, then so will the stand alone module. However I'm not sure if this will happen because ED has stated that they like offering different levels of fidelity and learning curve. A DCS level F-15 will probably be its own full price product. The FC3 F-15 is beta because the F-15 flight model is still being tweaked. Bluestream Posted June 1, 2014 Author Posted June 1, 2014 Alright, then I understand. Thanks for the clarification.
falcon_120 Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Anyway if ED ever makes an DCS:F15C with ASM you'll have to pay for it it doesn't matter you own DCS f15C FC3, as they are two totally different product. At least that is the way I see it, have in mind that any product with ASM will cost 49'95 as in the case of the A10C, so it would be unfair to get a product of that price for the price of the simple F15c of FC3.
