SharpeXB Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Is it possible to record tracks or replays from multiplayer? I mean the in-game track, not Fraps etc. in Rise of Flight you can record a replay and then watch with externals and see other planes, labels and such even if they weren't enabled on the server. It's interesting to see what happened. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
ENO Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 go to user / saved games / dcs / tracks / multiplayer. Every MP game you've ever played will be saved there- including the one from the crash I suggested you post. They're hopelessly busted, but they're there and apparently are needed to report errors. (well, they're supposed to help but hopefully moreso than they help us). "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. "Sweetest's" Military Aviation Art

ENO Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Oh- I meant to throw a ;) behind the "including the one from the crash I suggested you post." In case it changes your understanding of my intended tone- it was meant to be in kind form. "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. SharpeXB Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Looks like the track feature for mp is busted. I only see the F10 map in the replay i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5

SharpeXB Posted June 11, 2014 Author Posted June 11, 2014 you need to press pause to unpause it... and then wait a few moments for you to actually join the mission. fast forward with cntrl Z and slow down with alt z Ah is it recording the entire mission, like from before I joined? i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
T_A Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Never got MP mission longer than a few minutes or with many players to play , it always throws errors and the beginning my tracks can reach 100MB in size IRC... (2 hours , air and ground assets moving , 30+ players...) ENO Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 Ah is it recording the entire mission, like from before I joined? It is recording from the second the mission is initiated... but people can look at the F10 view for awhile before they realize it starts in a paused condition "ENO" Type in anger and you will make the greatest post you will ever regret. Thuraash Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 It records from the time you joined, but doesn't actually start the replay until you unpause. Does anyone know how to allow external cams, though?
104th_Maverick Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 (edited) The best thing to do with watching recordings is to use the REPLAY option within the Single Player menu. This is because most high client number servers do not allow Exports so TacView will not work recording straight from the Sim, you have to use Tacview to record the Replay of the session, not the session itself! To do this you will want to open the replay track in the mission editor! Enter the ME then goto Open, then search for your TRACKS folder located in C:/your name/saved games/dcs/tracks/Multiplayer And find the correct track using the date and time stamp. (you may have to select ALL FILES under the search option instead of .miz files) Open this track in the ME and it will show you the mission as the mission maker left it. Goto CUSTOMIZE then select Mission Options and select all your External Views and Labels etc... Now save this track... exit the ME... click on REPLAY... locate the track file and press play. You will now be able to watch your track replay with all externals and labels on if you wish! Remember you must unpause the replay for it to start playing!
