pj Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 (edited) After completing a mission and landing, when I shut off the engines the plane settled back on its tail and stayed there. If I pushed the stick forward it would drop onto the nose gear but then tilted back again when I released the stick. I tried to attach a track but the file is a little over the limit... dropbox link to track file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/10hg6sc8htke04w/f-15%20intercept%20track.trk Edited June 11, 2014 by pj added dropbox link to track file Win 10, Gigabyte Aorus Ultra with i5 9600KF @ 4.6GHz, 32G DDR4 3200 RAM, GTX 1070, TrackIR 5, TM Warthog stick on VPC Warbird base, Warthog Throttle for jets & helis, CH Throttle Quadrant for props, CH Pro Pedals, 500GB SSDs for installed sims :gun_smilie:
104th_Maverick Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Never heard of this happening before sir! Can you try and make a shorter flight and record the track and post it up here for us? Eg.. takeoff do a lap or two then land and shut down and see if it happens again. Mav S! danvac Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 This happend twice to me after rough landing. I think you crippled your gears so you are not able to stand still anymore. ;-)
pj Posted June 13, 2014 Author Posted June 13, 2014 I'll see if I can get it to happen again on a shorter flight. It may very well have been caused by a rough landing, although I was able to taxi to a parking space before engine shutdown. But my landings are usually a bit 'heavy'... pj Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 I have not been able to duplicate this glitch. I landed heavily enough to bend the wheels inward but the plane did not tilt backward after shutdown. Maybe that one time it was just tired...
