guitarxe Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 I wanted to assign flaps positions to Rotary 1, so I set it to "bends" where 0% - 33% is one "button", 33% - 67% is another "button, and 67% - 100% is a third "button". The problem though is that it sends a button signal constantly when the rotary knob is at this position. So for example if it's sitting to the far left, at 0%, and if I had assigned it the button "f", then it just keeps sending the button signal for "F" like this - FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF etc, constantly. Obviously that's not what I wanted. I wanted something like, if the knob reaches this position (33% or lower position, for example), then send the button F signal ONCE. Just once. Anyone know if that is possible? Or has anyone actually found any use for these two rotary knobs on the throttle? I can't think of any axis to assign them to, and I can't seem to use them as buttons either :(
algerad3 Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Try something along the lines of 0 - 5% = "F" ,6-10% = nothing. 11- 16% = "button press" 17 - 20 % = nothing. The problem is the rotary is always sending a command , so you need to "pass through " the action you want to initiate and have a "no action" zone in your band set up. Something I learned in the days of AF4 trying to use the slider for air brakes. I hope this makes sense to you , if not ask and I shall be around.
