Hi all.

I am looking at cheaper alternative then buying the TM warthog hotas + rudders maybe later.

I already have the t 16000m and I am using it combined with another joystick for slew controls.

Also using this panel with the TM MFD's so I have lots of extra buttons to use as well.

So I was thinking getting rid of the other joystick and buying just a throttle with lots of hat switches for the main controls used the most.

The main I am looking at is the CH pro throttle but for the extra £20 I can get the Saitek X52 Pro throttle and stick.

I am not sure how good either throttle setup is but CH seems to be good build quality from what I have read online.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Well, the same words that I speak for everyone who wants to make a different HOTAS set.

For more durability and if you don't mind the rotaries, take the CH Pro Throttle, mine have 4 years old and works like new, despite some pots spikes that doesn't affect the simulation. I did my first HOTAS setup like you are doing now, but now I use the Pro Throttle + Warthog Joystick + CH Pro Pedals

Now, if you want more buttons, rotaries and a more fighter style throttle, go for the X-52 Pro set. I had some troubles in the past with Saitek stuff, so I never bought any kind of hardware from them anymore, but a lot of guys use their products and love it.

Personally, I would go for CH Products, also their support are second to none.

Intel 8700K@4.7ghz(all cores) / 32Gb DDR4 /WD Black SN750 Heatsink 500gb (DCS Only) / MSI GeForce RTX 2070 GAMING Z 8G / Windows 10 PRO / VPC WarBRD Base + Warthog Stick + Foxx Mount / Thrustmaster TPR pedals / Thustmaster MFD / Thrustmaster Warthog throttle + Monstertech chair mount

Thank you.

The thing that worries me the most does the CH pro throttle have enough (I think they're called)-- hat switches-- for TMS, DMS, slew, coolie as the Tm 16000m only has one.

I know I can use modifiers but on my pair of joystick buttons the modifier is latching ingame and not momentary so I have to repress say TMS mod button two times to activate then another deactivate.

It gets very confusing if your in combat trying to remember what modifier is on without moving the hat switch about and maybe messing up any target I had ready to kill.

I really do like the TM 16000m feel and it nice price but very limited to what it can do :(

Thanks.

  • 3 Traditional push button, 1 mode switch button, 3 4-way directional hat and 1 8-way POV hat switch

We're talking about 4 hat switches, plus 1 from the T.16000M. Should be enough.

You can change your modifier from being a switch to a momentary by assigning it to the "Modifiers" and not the "Switch" side in options.

Thank you both :D

@txmtb I will give that a test laster and it should make everything 100 times better for me :)

@remon thanks for that I think that is my best option for a semi good hotas that don't cost to much.

Cheers.
