m1tp2king Posted July 6, 2014 Share Posted July 6, 2014 i am really sorry this might be a stupid question. the desired heading on the HSI is the heading to the steerpoint. but what is the desired track angle on the HSI ? also on the ABRIS NAV page there is the desired track angle info, what does it mean ? sorry and thanks. If you fly exactly on the line between your waypoints, the Desired Heading to waypoint will coincide with the Desired Track Angle. There is a switch to select DTA or DH mode for route mode autopilot and adjusted visual cues on the HUD. DTA mode will make you fly on the straight line between two waypoints, If you are not on this line the autopilot will intercept it.
