OB1 Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 (edited) Unlike the F-15 where you can zoom your cockpit view in and out to a comfortable FOV I can't seem to find that option/control for the Su's except move forward and back in the seat not zoom.. Is this as intended or will zoom function be added later ? Edited July 11, 2014 by OB1 found a bug
GGTharos Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 That option should be available. Try keypad / * [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
OB1 Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 That option should be available. Try keypad / * I have tried this, however I would like someone to try it too. Not sure if there is some kind of conflict but with track IR using / * keeps resetting when any movement is resisted with track IR however when I disable track IR and use /* it goes strait to either full zoom in or full zoom out nothing in between. Someone confirm this please ?
gonk Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 (edited) keypad / * (Zoom Slow & Axis Zoom) are conflicting with TRACKIR for the SU27/SU33. Eg. Hop in a SU27 with TRACKIR running and using those keys/axis try to move you view but it is locked to one default position. Next, cover the TRACKIR unit and those keys/axis works as advertised. These work ok in the F15 without covering the TRACKIR, so something is not quite right with the SU/27/SU33. OB1 Posted July 11, 2014 Author Posted July 11, 2014 cool, so I'm not going crazy there is a problem... Mr GGTharos if you find this worthy of bug reporting could you move this thread to the bug report section please. cheers.
The_Nephilim Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 I don't have an issue with the SU-27 Zoom view and I have a track IR?? Not sure but can you post your Settings for the view control?? Home Fries Posted July 11, 2014 Posted July 11, 2014 Nephilim is likely onto something. If you can't zoom it's because another axis is overriding your commands. It's usually head-tracking gear. If you use TrackIR, the Z axis is probably set to Zoom, where it should be set to something like "camera control forward/backward" (I'm not on my gaming rig so I can't tell you the exact entry. -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide
OB1 Posted July 12, 2014 Author Posted July 12, 2014 (edited) Im interstate atm so I can't do or check anything. Can anyone check if track ir mapping in the control cfg is conflicting if that is even possible to check.. or alternatively you could backup your config and wipe all Su-27 mappings then load the F-15c mappings on the Su and see if that fixes it. Edit: actually when speaking with gonk in ts about the problem I think he said he tried disabling track ir z axis in natural point software and tested it to no avail. So im not sure if its going to help. Edited July 12, 2014 by OB1
NeilWillis Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Have you tried remapping the zoom keys for that particular airframe? I had a few conflicts when I was using multiplayer servers, so I just chose different keys for the zoom function, and the problem was solved.

Ill re-try it when I can, not going to be back for a week.
gonk Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I already have tried remapping (axis and keys, axis only, keys only), no joy. The zoom view does not work on the SU27/SU33 for me and I would say OB1 is seeing the same problem. The same or different keys mapped on the F15/A10 works fine. I can map the axis or keys with those aircraft to the Zoomview function. The Cockpit Camera Move Forward/Backward works correctly on the SU27/33 but not the Zoomview, unless I cover up a light on the Trackir pro to force it off for testing. Trackir zoom is over riding the Zoomview function as when I uncover the trackir pro clip, it snaps back. I am running Trackir 5, with Track Clip Pro, I have all Axis ticked to be used on the trackir, eg Yaw, pitch, roll, X,Y,Z. Running Latest Nvidia Driver, Trackir version 5.1.300, Window 7 64bit Something is not quite right.... Home Fries Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 One point of clarification, guys: I'm assuming we're talking about FC3 because of the 6DOF axes involved, but this is posted in the FC1/FC2 section. Could you please confirm the sim we are discussing? -Home Fries My DCS Files and Skins My DCS TARGET Profile for Cougar or Warthog and MFDs F-14B LANTIRN Guide
