SB116 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 Is there a way to move the camera to a certain position and then save that position and have it accessible at the press of a button, like how I understand EZdok allows you to do in FSX? Even with TrackIR it can be very hard to gain access to certain panels in the cockpit.
Blooze Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) If you select one of the snap views while in the pit and release it, you can then find the exact view you want using track IR. When you have it positioned just right, pause track IR and hit RALT+NUM0 to save it. The next time you select the same snap view it will show the view you have saved rather than the default snap view you started with. If you have programmable buttons on your controller you can then program the snap view keystrokes to an available button. You also have to go to the DCS Options/Misc page and enable "user snap view saving" before it will work. Edited July 15, 2014 by Blooze [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
PFunk1606688187 Posted July 15, 2014 Posted July 15, 2014 From PeterP's head position mod: Disable/Pause your Track-IR/Head-tracker while doing it ! "Num/ - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Back "Num5" Cockpit Camera Move Center "Num2 - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Down "Num* - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Forward "Num8 - RCtrl - RShift" Cockpit Camera Move Up "Num8" Turn Cockpit Camera Up "Num2" Turn Cockpit Camera Down "Num/" FOV- aka Zoom-in "Num*" FOV+ aka Zoom-out "NumEnter" Default FOV aka Zoom Once you are satisfied , after using above key-commands, just use following key-command to save this view as default: "RAlt+Num0" Save current Cockpit view as default for this vehicle Its worth noting also that you can save any of the snap views, not just the default one. RAlt+Num# should do it, if I recall correctly. Changing to snap view mode, ie. locking the view to the specific snap view, is activated by pressing RCtrl+Num0. You then press any Snap View button to lock to it. You also need to select an option in the options menu called something like "allow user saved snap views" or something. Warning: Nothing I say is automatically correct, even if I think it is.
