Hi,

I just flew the second Su-25 single mission that comes with LOMAC, and I noticed that it lacks info about which weapons I'm flying with. It says "Ground01" where the weapons should have been listed :)

As I'm not too familiar with the designs of the different weapons, I had to take a screenshot of the exterior of my plane in mid-flight, exit the mission, and look it up in the encyclopedia.

Is this info missing in this mission only, or have you guys noticed this in other missions, like campaign missions etc? I haven't flown the campaigns yet, but I will start a Su-25 campaign this coming week, and I hope that it won't be necessary with more of this kind of "research" :D

I want to get away, I wanna fly away.

Yeah, yeah, yeah!

Didn't you noticed that you have a 270 pages flight manual? Go check it a little. :P

lol. I usually check my payload by clicking at my flight route and seeing payload in the payload editor.

Lockon comes with standard weapon loadouts which usually have a name that includes the weapons what the loadout actually contains.

But a mission designer can make a non-standard loadout if they want, and the name they give to the loadout may just be something simple such as Ground1 in the case you mentioned.

If you go into the Mission Editor, open that mission and look at your aircraft, click Payload and then check out the loadout you are carrying. It is a slight hassle that you have to make a note of what is on each pylon as the weapons control panel in the Su-25 only gives the most general info about the weapons - rocket(HPC), bomb(b), missile(YP - either A2A or A2G).

Not a problem with the other aircraft as you can cycle through the weapons and see what the loadout is on the HUD.

Hmm... I feel a bit silly now. Thanks for the advice. Didn't think about the payload editor at all.

If I were a flight school instructor, would you sign up for my course? :D

Whoa! It must have taken some hours to create that encyclopedia! Nice work :)

Yes, we all learn as we go. My problem is that I often take long breaks between each time I fly, and then I forget what I learned during my previous flight. However, I have played Flaming Cliffs a lot during the last weeks (1 hour here, 2 hours there, and so on), and now I'm starting to feel more laid back in the cockpit (unless there's a SAM nearby, of course :D )

I want to get away, I wanna fly away.
