drsgfire Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 This would be the ultimate DCS module. I would buy the shit out of that :) Of course it would need to feel real as much as possible. Are there pit screen of this thing?

VincentLaw Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 A lot, actually. [images]The best part is how almost the entire MFD is set to HUD (HMD?) repeater. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
mjmorrow Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 This would be the ultimate DCS module. Neat looking machine! I would really like a Robotech VF1 Valkerie! [sIGPIC]http://i688.photobucket.com/albums/vv250/mjmorrow76/SPAD%20of%20a%20new%20generation_zpshcbftpce.png[/sIGPIC]

kazereal Posted October 22, 2014 Posted October 22, 2014 Not true: at 1g of constant acceleration (9.8 meters per second per second), it would take just under a year to accelerate to the speed of light. 9.8 m/s/s * 60 seconds= 588 m/s in a minute 588*60= 35,280 m/s in an hour 35,288*24= 846,720 m/s in a day 846,720*365= 309,052,800 m/s after a year The speed of light is 299,792,458 meters per second. Sounds like a pretty reasonable timeframe, at a quite comfortable g-load to me! Unless new kind of physics are discovered energy requirement would approach infinity or mass would have to approach zero to reach that kind of speed.. Unfortunately if aliens had that kind of technology and that much energy to use they could wipe us out with out us even noticing they've arrived. Movies make it seem so simple.. Fun to think about these things but trying to put them into simulation and still have a fighting chance? "I would have written a shorter post, but I did not have the time."
mjmorrow Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-345y7uo0M here is the trailer That would be epic! Who knows? We are getting Super Hornets...:smilewink: [sIGPIC]http://i688.photobucket.com/albums/vv250/mjmorrow76/SPAD%20of%20a%20new%20generation_zpshcbftpce.png[/sIGPIC]
mjmorrow Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 (edited) How about the Visitor Skyfighter, from the TV Series V? What is neat about the Skyfighter is that it has a modular design. The nose section and tail section can be separated and new modules can be added to fit different mission needs. Here is the tanker version: Here is a transport version: Edited October 28, 2014 by mjmorrow [sIGPIC]http://i688.photobucket.com/albums/vv250/mjmorrow76/SPAD%20of%20a%20new%20generation_zpshcbftpce.png[/sIGPIC]
