Leo Showers Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 From the top of ED's E-shop page: I think you misunderstand, I have no issue with activation, as it's always been on ED's end. The issue is that the .exe doesn't recognise the version of DCS in the STeam library. In any case, I'm getting the external version so it'll be ok
The Blake Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Please, post your autoupdate.cfg from the game install dir. Same issues for me.... === Log opened UTC 2014-07-26 00:29:37 INFO : DCS_Updater/2.4.1.59 (Windows NT 6.1.7601; Win64; en-US) INFO : cmdline: "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" --apply repair STATUS: Initializing... The Blake Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 looks to have updated to 1.29 but when I open game still says 1.28. when I try to update again it acts like its up to date.
The Blake Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Got it working! I uninstalled dcs world and reinstalled it and did the update. But I was thinking maybe restoring your computer to the day before and than retrying the update may work?? And I would like to say the wing flexing when at max speed is such a cool detail!! great work guys! what kind of engine governor does the sabre have? I remember in il 1946 it was possible to overheat engine. is that not realistic?
Stars_ Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 (edited) I used the D.C.S store for all my purchases of the modules. I have many different modules installed. I found it best was to ditch the Steam store and use the D.C.S store and download the latest version straight from each Torrent file for each module. The most common problem is forced update(s) from the different version modules from sources like Torrents, Steam and various other d/load sources. remember to d/load the latest file version for starters. Remember to update D.C.S. World First and make sure you have made an account and linked all purchased modules to the one account name then install your purchased module one by one until done. Do an overall update of the D.C.S World and then it will either overwrite your module and will work or it will not. I forgot to mention that some may have to reload their entire module(s) again and then add in your purchased module(s) again then update to the latest D.C.S. World version 1.2.9 after the module(s) have been installed. You cannot install a older version module in an updated D.C.S World and expect it to work. Edited July 26, 2014 by Stars_

Doesn't a fresh install burn up the limited license activations for my DCS modules? I own every module and I shouldn't have to burn my activations on a error stemming from a Dev problem :/ I guess if I have to do it I will... Really would like to fly my new bird
ED Team c0ff Posted July 27, 2014 ED Team Posted July 27, 2014 INFO : DCS/1.2.9.30604.475 (x86_64; EN; FC3,A-10C,UH-1H,P-51D,MI-8MTV2,CA) The list of modules is missing WORLD for some reason. That's the problem. To fix: DCS_updater.exe install WORLD Dmitry S. Baikov @ Eagle Dynamics LockOn FC2 Soundtrack Remastered out NOW everywhere - https://band.link/LockOnFC2.
Sadwick Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 (edited) I have a Problem here, too. When i start DCS (not openbeta) it just starts in Version 1.2.7. When i run the DCS-Updater, a small window comes up for a very short time and then DCS starts, still in 1.2.7 Where exactly must i type the "DCS_updater.exe"-commands? Here my update-log: === Log opened UTC 2014-07-28 08:29:28 INFO : DCS_Updater/2.3.7.49 (Windows NT 6.1.7601; Win64; de-DE) INFO : cmdline: "D:\Programme\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" --apply install F-86F STATUS: Initializing...
