Can anyone tell me if they have anything confirming that the Germans painted the SC 500 sky blue with yellow strips on the tail? Anyone seen any good pics of this?

Hello good Morning

Now i did have some luck.

 

It is written that the Yellow strips on the tail are markers for the different type of load.

 

Yellow markers:

Filled with Explosives 13,13A,52(Different types of TNT)

or BB (Composite B)

 

Painting of a Merchant ship + *C 500 Trialen* +*Only for Merchantships* written on Bomb body:

 

Filled with Trialen (Amatol)

 

Such markers where used for all Bombs.

Very Hard Bombs (thick 13 mm Steelbody for deep ground Penetration) did have a red ring around the Bombs body as another example.
