SDsc0rch Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 i get very light (transparent) shimmering horizontal lines and, as i bank, i'll get angular transparent shapes appearing and disappearing i wonder - is that my vid card? or my monitor? should i change some settings? i'm not a hardware guru - just a simple end-user --- could use some pointers on how to troubleshoot this.. thx! i7-4790K | Asus Sabertooth Z97 MkI | 16Gb DDR3 | EVGA GTX 980 | TM Warthog | MFG Crosswind | Panasonic TC-58AX800U [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Rangi Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 I had this once and it was because my videocard was overheating, but I would be surprised if that's a problem with a gtx 770. are you overclocking the gpu? PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
cichlidfan Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 I have also seen similar symptoms with an improperly seated video card. Try pulling and reseating the card.
