SharpeXB Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Does the Radio work yet for Contacting ATC? I know this is beta so maybe it doesn't work yet? I think I've set the freq and have the generator running. I can hear static but no response i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
txmtb Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Here's a thread discussing it. The radio you are tuning is the ADF, the ATC radio is the back one that has 18 positions on it. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=127487 Win 10 64 Pro, MSI Z390 I7-9700K @5ghz Kraken Z63, 32Gb Corsair Dominator, MSI RTX-2070, 1TB NVME 2TB SSD's, TM Warthog, Pro Rudders, OpenTrack w/ IR Clip
El Hadji Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 (edited) It works... Turn radio on and then use rotary wheel to switch to the airports number (1, 2, 3, etc). An example: Gudauta has frequencies 130,00MHz, 40,20MHz and 259.00 MHz. In the mission editor select your Sabre and then the 'antenna' tab (far right). There you can see which frequencies are set to which number on the rotary wheel. So in order to contact Gudauta ATC the 259.00 MHz needs to be in the list. fjacobsen Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 The only thing not working is the ATC menu text becomming white when the correct frequency has been entered, but they still respond. Buzzles Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Also, be aware of the other bug with the comms menu in flight. Just pressing \ doesn't seem to work off the ground, pressing right-alt+\ (microphone key in bindings) does bring up the comms menu. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!

Yea, that's a little bit of a pita, always have the \ mapped to HOTAS and now they added an additional bind that only works in the air. IMO should stay the same as all the other modules unless there's a reason behind it. P51, TF51, KA50 and Huey all feature ralt+\ to trigger their microphone/PTT buttons. There just appears to a bug with the F86 where pressing \ in the air doesn't work properly like it does in the others. Edited July 28, 2014 by Buzzles Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!

Had to look at my bindings and see it there on the others.
