statrekmike Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 First off, I just want to say that the Sabre is a fantastic module so far, I have not had this much fun in a DCS aircraft in a long time, in fact, my friends and I have already spent a great deal of time in the cockpit despite it only coming out a couple of days ago. So, anyway, with all that said, I just have a few quick questions.. 1.) Is there potential (I know you can't promise anything) for a few additional features/bug fixes on August 5th (when the Dora comes out)? 2.) Could you tell us perhaps what is already fixed on your end that we can expect to see when the next update does come out for it./ 3.) Is there any chance that implementation of the drop tanks could come with the next update specifically? I only ask because the Sabre has a pretty limited range and those drop tanks would open up the plane to a lot more potential missions that it really can't do at the moment. I understand if you don't wish to answer any of this stuff since you may have policies against that but it never hurts to ask and I am sure that some other folks here would find answers to these questions interesting as well. Thanks for the great module.
Druid_ Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 1. When bugs are fixed a number of things happen. Firstly we have to check that it hasn't broken something else, then the Devs have to merge the fixed code into the latest release version. From what I understand, this is a time consuming and difficult operation in itself. The Dora is a completely different module so won't be linked in anyway to the Sabre patch updates imho. I'd rather patches come out when they are ready rather than rush them out tied to a specific date. 2. Wags already posts an update with the bug fixes prior to a patch or update release. Internally we have access to a list of bug fixes but they may get broken by another fix. The process is ongoing. Providing people with this in real time provides no useful purpose other than to stir things up when things change. 3. No idea on this one sorry. i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q
statrekmike Posted July 28, 2014 Author Posted July 28, 2014 Another question then, Does Belsimtek always wait until a major patch release on ED's side before they patch anything themselves? I ask more out of general curiousity than anything else, I mean, if a 3rd party (partner or not) were to release a patch, would they always have to wait until a ED patch release?
Druid_ Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 That does appear to be the case at the moment but wether or not that will continue in the future I don't know. i7-7700K : 16Gb DDR4 2800 Mhz : Asus Mobo : 2TB HDD : Intel 520 SSD 240gb : RTX 2080ti: Win10 64pro : Dx10 : TrackiR4 : TM Warthog : ASUS ROG SWIFT PG348Q

You have well explain the situation concerning the future patch, sometime one patch fix few problems and also create a new problems. It's not one problem, just wait because the F-86 is just "early Open-Beta" like the Mi-8. The Huey was Open-Beta and today it's not the case and this Huey is perfect... Just to have patience, it's the way for obtain the simulation. Bye, Skull.
