F86 Beta question

If i buy the F-86 now for the standalone version now, could i request a new steam key later and replace the one i have now, or would i have to buy a new. I don't mean have 2 keys the steam one just replace the standalone one.

A key from the ED-Shop will not work under Steam, but a Key from Steam will work with DCS World from ED page.

yeah i know that, but i was wondering if i could get them to revoke the old and replace with a steam one. failing that is there any cue as to when the steam one will be released

I don't think they will since they never did hand out steam keys...The keys you buy through ED prior to the whole STEAM/ED switch was that the keys you bought through ED would be transferred to the STEAM servers so that way you could do just as you said. However, now that they have the new agreement ED is no longer transferring they're keys to steam, unless, you do it vice-versa, buy from steam then activate it on ED standalone. I would say wait for the steam release if you want it on STEAM and just a rumor but Aug. 9th I hear is when it'll be available on STEAM.

Once you buy the Steam License, you can use that on Both Steam and ED,

 

But if you Intention is to use STEAM, then You must Purchase through STEAM, External Activation no longer works.
