Are labels controlled by the server?

Are labels controlled by the server? I am interested in flying the WWII planes in a server that has labels on. I suspect that I will be out of luck. As of now I have been checking out DCS and have set labels to just be dots which is just what I like.

Yes. Labels are/can be controlled by the server, and I suspect most have them turned off (which you can do when you create the mission).

So is there any servers that often do have people much of the time that does have labels turned on.
