A few oxygen system issues

As of the latest patch, the oxygen supply lever defaults to OFF, while the manual (-1) states that it should be safetied to ON at all times.

 

The pilot does not seem to wear his oxygen mask below 10.000. This means the flow indication blinkers do not operate even when setting 100% O2 and the oxygen pre-flight checks cannot be completed.

 

There is no emergency lever. Should there be, in the version modelled?

How does one refill the oxygen after returning to base? What I mean is that rearm and refuel rearms weapons and refuels fuel tanks, but it does not replenish the oxygen. So you will quickly run out of oxygen on your second flight.

 

Also, I have been flying around at 30000 feet with an empty oxygen tank without any problems. Are lack of oxygen effects on the pilot not modelled, yet?

Last week I wanted to test the oxygen effects on the pilot. I turned the yellow oxygen knob and increased the game speed with Ctrl Z. After a while the screen blurred. I think I was around 40k feet.

Turning the oxygen supply off is something different than no oxygen in the tank. But to answer your question, oxygen effects are simulated on the pilot if you do not turn the oxygen supply on.

 

What is not modelled are temperature effects. I also jettisoned the canopy and flew for half an hour on 40k feet. Nothing happened lol.
