sn1ptr3x Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Hi everyone if this issue was posted in the past and I have not noticed, please forgive me. There is two issues that I'm having with my x55. My first problem is that the throttle does not act as a throttle but gives a diagonal input (xy axis) to the stick. My second problem is that a rotary on top of my throttle acts as the throttle. I have spent few hours trying to fix this issue with no effect, for some reason I cant reprogram the throttle or the top rotary. I'm mostly interested in flying the F-15, so if anyone has a profile for it I would be very thankful.
aeliusg Posted August 18, 2014 Posted August 18, 2014 Download the software and drivers for it off of Saitek's site. Install the drivers first and see if it helps. If not, install the software and check to see what your throttle axes are reading as.

I have already programmed my x55 for many other games and they all worked fine. Basically when I put in the axes for the throttle in DCS so they increase/decrease thrust, the game still does its own thing and still gives the input from the throttle to the stick. Its kind off like the game reads the Y axes on the throttle as the Y axes on the stick etc. :joystick: Edited August 18, 2014 by sn1ptr3x

sn1ptr3x Posted August 18, 2014 Author Posted August 18, 2014 Problem Fixed! I found what the top rotary was called and after unbinding it completely everything started working. In some odd way the rotary must have interfered with the throttle. Now I can go and kill some bandits, see you in the air! :pilotfly:
Grzech Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) Hi I'm struggling with same problem for 2 weeks. The throttle does not work like it should be. The symptoms are the same like yours: "My first problem is that the throttle does not act as a throttle but gives a diagonal input (xy axis) to the stick" I have try it with IL-2 and throtle work fine even for separate engines. However in DCS in "Axis Comands" I can't use other axis than Joysticks. When I use Saitek software and try program some button, switch or rotary it works perfect but when I bind same button for throtle that gives power to engine it does not work. Anybody can give me some advice. Thanks  I figured it out. I was so stupid... Newer before had joy with throtle. There are two columns one for joy and one for throtle. Sorry for spamming. Maybe somebody will be as new as me and it will help. Edited August 19, 2014 by Grzech
