hey guys

I'm new to the heli sim world and trying to set up my x52 Pro and trackIR for the above mentioned module.

Some help and advice would be much appreciated, i would really like a profile for the flight stick to get started.

cheers

TrackIR and the HOTAS axes should already be set up. My advice would be to get used to these first (hover and basic flight) and use the keyboard for everything else; you'll soon discover which functions you want/need to assign to your stick.

Windows 10 Home, Intel Core i7-9700K @ 4.6GHz, Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (8GB VRAM) on 34" LG curved monitor @ 3440x1440, 32GB RAM, TrackIR 3 (with Vector Expansion), Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Combat Pedals, Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs.

That's what i thought too ... but it seems that my trackIR is not following the gunner sight or the copilot weapon sight ?

any ideas ?

Sorry, I don't own the Huey module, so not sure how the different sights work with TrackIR. Are those axes configurable in the options? You might be able to assign TrackIR there.

Some advice on setting up your x52 buttons: try and match the Huey stick/throttle as much as possible, then use whatever's left however you see fit.

Well...this is not Apache with IHADSS. You must distinguish between head movement and weapons movement. There is no way, the Huey will let You control the weapons with Your track IR. Sorry. Or maybe You can control its movement with Your head, but then You will be unable to look around, because TrackIR axis will be assigned to other things. :) Even real Huey pilots can´t control the weapons with head movement. These are just very different things.

thanks for the responses guys ... no i didn't think you could control the pilot gun sight with head movement but i thought you could for the copilot and from some YT videos they made it seem like moving the copilot minigun and the side gunner weapons you had to use your head.(with trackIR)

but i could be totally mistaken

thanks for the suggestions and helpfull tips .. much appreciated !!

cheers
