X-Alt Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 On any other aircraft, I can start my engines simply by pushing my throttle down to 0%, and pressing Right Shift and Home. On the A-10A, I can hear the engines spooling up but my throttle stays locked in the off position, even though the keys are properly binded to it? It seems that Right Shift + End does not stop the engine sound also. X-Alt Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 (edited) It appears that there is no fuel flow, to the engines, and only the the APU is on presumably because my throttle is @100% (for some odd reason, all my planes' throttles start at that) but cannot be adjusted downward when the engines are off? Is there any way to stop the game from defaulting to 100% throttle when I first load in the plane? marker Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Try doing them one at a time. RAlt + Home for left start RCtrl + Home for right start Ralt + End for Left stop RCtrl + End for right stop I get a bug occasionally, which is very similar to yours. I just restart the mission and it is gone. “Any pilot should be flying the spitfire, at least once.” – John S. Blyth

Apparently my joystick Z axis was still mapped to my throttle (I loaded a really old Su-25T profile on my A-10A to start it off) and it stopped me from being able to turn the engines on. Azrayen Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 I confirm you can't start engines if throttles are 100%. Only APU, then you're stuck. I don't understand how it's possible to have throttles @ 100% on start-up, never occured to me. I suggest you check for various input devices on your computer. AFAIK, there is no issue there from DCS standpoint. ++ Az' [edit] OK... cross posting (I took a bit time checking the A-10A myself). Glad it works, and glad I had the correct hypothesis :)

Glad it works, and glad I had the correct hypothesis :) Thanks for the clarification, I made new profiles for all my aircraft to avoid this issue. None of the throttles start@100% anymore.
