Hi there, apologies if this has been posted already, I searched but no results....

Basically I have not flown for a while and have just loaded up DCS again to get back into it, updated to 1.2.10

Now I cannot get my X-52 Pro to work....no matter what I try I get no results.

Its probably something simple I am missing but can anyone point me in the right direction?

I have a profile loaded using the X-52 software which always worked great in the past but now nothing...

If you open DCS Options/Controls/ and do not see your X52 listed there you will probably need to re-install your drivers.

I checked and the X-52 is also listed there. I then started testing using keyboard commands and strangely enough none of the keyboard commands are working either. Not sure where to go from here as now DCS is completely unplayable. I suppose a re-download and install is required? Seems the update has really messed something up in a big way. Is there a way to revert back to the previous version?

What version did you update from?

They changed the control lua files in 1.2.8 so the old control files from previous versions will no longer work.

The new control files have a .diff.lua extension instead of just .lua

No.

Re-installing won't make any change to your Saved Games DCS folder; if there is your issue, re-installing will just be a waste of time.

Apply this before considering re-installation:

Then re-name your Saved Games DCS folder to DCS1. Fly a mission to see if that works.

Cheers

Ok all is working again. But do I have to setup everything from scratch again - all the lua files? Or can I just rename the old lua files to the new extension - .diff.lua

No. The file structure is completely different.
