Revvit Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 I recently got a headtracker and I've been struggling to find an option in the keybinds to temporarily disable it. I've tried everything that seems even remotely logical with no success. The headtracker is bound to Absolute Camera Horizontal and Vertical View; is this the problem? Is it not possible to temporarily disable the tracking of these axis?
cichlidfan Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 What 'headtracker' are you using? TrackIR has a Pause key assigned by default to one of the F keys (F10,11 or 12 I think but I don't recall for sure). Devrim Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 Personally I don't know about EDTracker, but FreeTrack or FaceTrackNoIR has a pause key, too. cichlidfan Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 EDtracker, new open source project thats going on. Wouldn't the question be for the EDtracker devs? DCS provides no controls for headtracking, just the connections for the software. All of the controls are on the head tracking software side. So DCS just does not provide a keybind to disregard any information coming from those axis.
cichlidfan Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 So DCS just does not provide a keybind to disregard any information coming from those axis. Correct. When I pause my TrackIR, it no longer sends signals to DCS so the sim falls back on internal camera controls (i.e. keyboard/mouse). Apparently, the tracker signals override when they are present. Tone71 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 You can "unbind" the connection between your headtracker and DCS by deleting the assignment, if that's what you mean(?)
