Alkaline Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 Hi, Whenever I choose a different resolution than 1920x1080 (My native), then it wont scale up to fullscreen, I get these black borders... I got scaling enabled in AMD CCC, scale image to fullpanel size enabled, ITC processing enabled... help :P X-55 Rhino guide to configure the Mouse Nipple to work as TDC slew! Cnuke Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 (edited) If your chosen resolution gets borders it obviously keep it's aspect ratio so it won't stretch or deform the images. If you get borders above and under, it might be a slidersetting in your CCC, that controls the scaling in percentage. If you turn off scaling in CCC and let the gpu and monitor select it's supported resolutions you might get the result you are looking for. Edited September 15, 2014 by Cnuke
Tone71 Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Just curious, why would you want to display the game at anything other than native? Windows 10 Home, Intel Core i7-9700K @ 4.6GHz, Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (8GB VRAM) on 34" LG curved monitor @ 3440x1440, 32GB RAM, TrackIR 3 (with Vector Expansion), Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Combat Pedals, Thrustmaster Cougar MFDs.
Flying Penguin Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Just curious, why would you want to display the game at anything other than native? Usually because you can trade resolution for eye candy without giving up fps. Only worth while when your machine can only just run DCS. The border is almost always caused by mismatched aspect resolutions. Try the following resolutions and see if the problem goes away: 1440 x 810 960 x 540 Per Ardua Ad Aquarium :drink: Specs: Intel i7-9700K, GTX 2080TI, 32GB DDR4, ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E, Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2

Sure, I can appreciate that, I just find that one of the best improvements you can make to visual quality in any game is to run it at native. Having said that, I know what it's like to be struggling for frames! (I remember running Doom 3 at 10 - 15 fps, just to get the eye candy).
