Gloom Demon Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 (edited) Hello I have read, that greasing the resistors on a joystick will positively affect its longevity, so I have tried disassembling my Thrustmaster T Flight HOTAS. And, of course, now I am having problems putting it back together. The joystick handle has a spring, which puts the flip into its default position when no pressure is applied. And I have no clue where and how it should be attached to. Here is the sprig: And here are the parts of the handle, apparently the ends of the spring should go into one of these details inside: Can someone please help me - flying without rudder is no fun :-( P.S. I haven't managed to grease the resistors - the circular thingie witch should be greased is actually inside the box which holds the resistor and I see no way of getting grease there. machonebinary Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 How did you manage to fix. Thanking you
Gloom Demon Posted January 12, 2015 Author Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) I asked on the Russian forum and got help :-) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=130126 On the photo I did it wrong and a guy has drawn a oicture of how it should be done right: This is a view from above with the bottom circle being the joystick, and the upper circle is that square thing on it. Essentially - the ends of the metal spring should be done the other way around - opposite to the photo I posted in that topic. If this is still unclear I'll try to formulate this differently - my technical English is not that good... machonebinary Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 joystick Hi, Thank you very much for your reply, I understand that the Spring should be used in an opposite manner but do you know where on the plastic joystick section as shown in your pictures where the spring should be attached onto. Thanking you,
