escaner Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 I can't get the F-15 autopilot to work in any of its two modes. The Attitude Hold switch moves in the panel, but it does not seem to work. The Altitude Hold switch does not even move in the panel, and won't keep altitude. I have checked and all three CAS switches are ON. Bug or I am doing something wrong? Thank you [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Jester Darrak Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Once you engage the attitude hold switch it is active. Below 5 degrees (correct me if I'm wrong) of pitch you can also engage the altitude hold switch. That's all you get in the F-15. Should be in the manual though.
escaner Posted September 17, 2014 Author Posted September 17, 2014 Oh true, Attitude hold works, I was looking at the velocity vector instead of the nose indicator, and as I could also change the pitch manually, assumed that it didn't work. Behaviour is different from the Su-25T... So the Altitude hold only works once Attitude is on? The FC3 manual has nothing about the F-15C autopilot and the web documentation about it is pretty slim.
