And judging by the video, I'd say that the FC-1 is now officially adapted by the PLAAF.

But why?? They have J-10 and J-11 already.

Couldn't see the markings on that FC-1 might have been just old prototype footage they used.

 

But sometimes a smaller aircraft can do the job just fine, even advisable in some specific scenarios.
