grant977 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Does the mig suffer from the same sudden roll problem the f104 had when and if you roll the throttle below 80 when the blond flap system in on?
ff4life4 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 For me it won't roll. But will drop like a brick
effte Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 (edited) The roll problem was due to issues with the BLC cutting out on one wing. Specific F-104 problem, not a general problem with the system concept as such. ff4life4 Posted September 26, 2014 Posted September 26, 2014 Yes,Bis has it. Known as Boundary layer control system or BLC. It is mentioned in manual. There is also a switch above the throttle called SPS which will turn the system off if you choose. Edit: system only works below 360kph and full flaps. If you turn the system off when it's functioning, you will notice it drops. Also if you cut the throttle back to idle on the approach it falls like a brick
grant977 Posted September 26, 2014 Author Posted September 26, 2014 Ah got ya didn't know it was104 specific.
