TheHighwayman Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I like to start my plane at the ramp, but I cannot get my HUD to display when I start from the ramp. Specifically, I turn on my pipper and net, and I increase the brightness to full, but nothing is ever visible. Is this a bug or am I missing a switch? I'm assuming the latter, as I alone seem to have this issue? When I start from the runway ready to take off, my pipper is on and there is no problem.

TheHighwayman Posted October 12, 2014 Author Posted October 12, 2014 Gun sight switch on the right wall panel? Not that. The APS Optical sight switch is in the on position.
Philipp2 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Test the auto startup ..But it should work, I think you forget one switch. 1
TheHighwayman Posted October 12, 2014 Author Posted October 12, 2014 Test the auto startup ..But it should work, I think you forget one switch. Autostart does not turn on the pipper for you, but when I flip the switches on the side panel and the front display it comes right up. I MUST be missing a switch. What switches are minimally essential to light the pipper? I need to know what these are from someone who knows better, and I need to check them against my list. I would use autostart, but it's just a bit less satisfying than doing the thing yourself. :) Thank you all who are helping.
WolfK33 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Do you maybe flip the switches in front before you flip those on the side panel ? I´ve done that before and couldn´t get the pipper and the net to work then. When I first get everything up and running on the right side then use the two switches on the hud last it works. 1

That fixed it! It's the order of my start sequence. It works just fine now. Thank you!
Justin Case Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 I found the sight to be inop when you turn the standby inverter (IIRC) on, it's a red switch to the left. http://www.masterarms.se A Swedish Combat Flight Simulator Community.
WolfK33 Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Great, glad that I could help ! I think it has to do with the "system-stress" simulation of the Mig. Something like a power surge that kills the "light-bulbs" for the pipper and net when it is allready switched one before...
