NRG-Vampire Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 (edited) unfortunately im not good in sound modding so i need some help :dunno: do you know guys how to make louder the incockpit/external mechanic/hydraulic noises (which are too quiet to me) such as airbrake, gear, refueling door, arrester hook, wingsweep, wingfold, flaps etc. up/down noises ? would be nice a new volume slider in the options/audio menu for these mechanic/hydraulic noises  TY :worthy: Edited October 13, 2014 by NRG-Vampire
gear_monkey Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 1) Find the actual sound file you want to work with under the SOUNDS folder in Eagle Dynamics. Remember its name then: 2) go to the "sdef" folder under the SOUNDS folder. This folder contains exact copies of the sounds but with the .sdef file name. Find the EXACT sound file you were looking at in step one and open its .sdef twin with Notepad++ 3) Look for the "Gain" value. Increase this number, save and test out in-game. Keep adjusting the gain value until you are happy. I have recently installed a buttkicker and followed these steps to increase the intensity of various sounds to get more vibration during the game. It works very well. Win 10 64bit; 32 GB DDR4 3200 Ram; ASUS MoBo; 1TB SSD;Intel i7 8700K; GTX 1080ti 11GB; Thrustmaster Warthog;Odyssey + VR

Vespa Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 Thanks gear_monkey for the hint...and if the gain parameter is missing? Can I add it?
NRG-Vampire Posted October 13, 2014 Author Posted October 13, 2014 Thanks gear_monkey for the hint...and if the gain parameter is missing? Can I add it? yeah, looks we can add that but otherwise if the gain is missing then seems gain = 1.0
gear_monkey Posted October 13, 2014 Posted October 13, 2014 okay, thanks, i will try it  by the way, do you know what these for ? inner_radius = outer_radius = release = I think those have to do with how close/far away from the object you have to be for the sound to be heard and/or fade out Win 10 64bit; 32 GB DDR4 3200 Ram; ASUS MoBo; 1TB SSD;Intel i7 8700K; GTX 1080ti 11GB; Thrustmaster Warthog;Odyssey + VR
