Hi, sorry for dumb questions...but I'm trying to figure out how create missions in Mission EDitor and I'm a bit confused  about some functions.

I'm trying to create an easy online missions to allow starting a plane from Sochi.

I succesfully place the aircrafts, set them as "client" to allow online pick up by player.

Adding client plane I cannot add more then 1 Aircraft for each Group...if I select more then 1 plane for a specific Group I cannot set all the ac as "client", so I have to create one new Group for each client...is it correct? What am I missing?

Thanks for feedback, sorry for silly question and hope I explained my issue.....Mission Editor seems to be quite complicated...so far

It's some kind of known bug that is there since DCS:BS.

You can create 4-ship group for AI, but you can have only 1 client per group. If you want a 2-ship (or more), you have to duplicate your client flight. The best thing is to use the copy & paste function at maximum map scale, using spawning point as reference.

If you paste a group that is set to start on the ground, the editor will automatically move the new aircraft to a free slot in the airport, but it will keep any other information correctly: waypoints, triggered actions, advanced action, loadout, livery, target points (KA-50 only), etc.

The thing is, helicopters are different from planes. An airplane by it's nature wants to fly, and if not interfered with too strongly by unusual events or by a deliberately incompetent pilot, it will fly. A helicopter does not want to fly. It is maintained in the air by a variety of forces in opposition to each other, and if there is any disturbance in this delicate balance the helicopter stops flying; immediately and disastrously.

Thanks for feedback Chromium

I'm lost...how to do that? I click on each Aircraft already placed on ground...but no menu file, no right-mouse-click on each ac provide a copy and past function

Second question: I have added an infantry men and a car into the scenario...added waypont to move soldier/car from point A to point B ... but...when the unit get to the point B don't stop there...they countinue moving around .

Thanks for any hint...

Select the airplane

Zoom in at max level you can

Place the mouse pointer over your airplane

Press CTRL-C

Leave the mouse over your airplane (this is needed to keep same waypoints locations)

Press CTRL-V

That's done.

You can use that also for ground troops, obviously you may want to change locations. But keep in mind that the copied group will have the very same contents of the source one.

I don't exactly understand your question. Can you explain it better? To stop a group in a particoular position you may simply place the last waypoint there. Or else, if it's a temporary stop, it could be done in four way:

- By advanced waypoint action

- By triggered action linked to a trigger

- By trigger itself

- By script.

Thanks....soldiers stopped after few seconds of walking around....

Another kind of known Bug. This is DCS, not ARMA, you may not expect correct infantry implementation at the moment. You should design your mission focusing on vehicles and use infantry only for fixed positions (or take advantage of scripting to get something useful from infantry).

PS:

Use search function ;)

You're welcome ;)

E buona fortuna con l'editor, è duro ma da tante soddisfazioni :)
