runny Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I have it a lot that I'll get a lock tone which never goes away. It has all the lights and the tone and I can do whatever I want to try break a lock but it'll never go away unless I bank steeply. It may or may not start with an actual lock. Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug or feature?
runny Posted October 23, 2014 Author Posted October 23, 2014 It would also be nice to be able to bring my modern police radar/laser detector from home and stick it up by the HUD. It would be a major improvement to my survivability lol.
QuiGon Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Maybe related to this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=131094 I also experience odd RWR behaviour. For example, when i get a lock from a SAM and i dive behind a mountain which seperates me from the SAM the lock will remain for some time (maybe 30 seconds to 1 minute) before it goes away. But maybe that's how it's supposed to work? Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

I belive that the spo10 like the later spo15 will repeat a lock tone for some time after a lock accured to make sure the pilot knows that they have been locked. however I seem to think from my experances it will repeat it for 20 seconds after the lock has been broken. from what I can also tell, it will assume any radar pulse as hostile if it has been locked once in the last 30sec and then will go back to panic mode. but I am not totaly sure about it, that said, unlike the spo15, it does have a 45deg arc to the horizontal compared to the 30 that the spo15 produces.
QuiGon Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 That's what I had in mind when I said it might actually be supposed to work like that. It would make sense.
