danvac Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) Hi, I am confused about mach number indication on instrument. HUD is showing 0.5, but instrument is showing little after first mark. I always though that this first mark is 0.0 and second one is 0.5, but that seems not to be true. Can someone explain if it is behaving correctly or there is bug on instrument? Ironhand Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 I'm confused. Isn't the IAS/Mach meter showing .5 Mach in the box on the inner needle? Or am I not understanding your question? Rich I think he's saying that its looks like its on the notch just shy of the .500 mark. http://104thphoenix.com/
danvac Posted November 10, 2014 Author Posted November 10, 2014 More screenshots: Mach 1.0 perfectly aligned: Mach 0.875 misaligned: Mach 0.419 showing 0.5 I was originaly thinking that marks on mach meter should show 0.0 and 0.5 mach. It makes more sense if it should be 0.5 and 0.75, but still its little misaligned under 1.0 mach.
Ironhand Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 On my work monitor, I can see what you're referring to. This morning, at home and still nursing my first cup of coffee, everything looked OK. You're right. Something seems off at the very low end.
