Situation:

 

NATO has taken a swift and strong approach after a breakdown in negotiations with Russia over the state of the Caucasus region. Russia's iron wall defense combined with NATO air power pouring out of Turkey and Georgia has left the border region a no man's land saturated with modern weaponry

 

 

Briefing:

 

Enfield 4, your flight, will conduct an escort mission in support of a strike against Maykop airbase. Ingress will be from the south east with cover from Tornado SEAD flights. Moderate SAM presence is expected, but the planned flight route will steer you clear of known major threats. Low altitude flight is not recommended.

 

Strike package Colt will fly north before turning south to attack the airfield. This will allow our fighters to push ahead and secure the airspace before they arrive. All major air threats are expected to come from the west. Maykop itself is expected to scramble fighters, as is nearby Krasnodar. Krasnodar is also well defended by long range SAM's, flight over the city is prohibited for this reason. Lighter SAM units around Maykop will be disrupted by USN SEAD flights, but time over the airbase and its surrounding area should be kept to a minimum.

Multiplayer Compatibility

This mission hasn't been tested for MP but should work fine for 2-4 players on the blue side, simply replace the AI wingmen with client aircraft. Some Red side AI aircraft are were placed with the intent to be replaced with players. I plan to release a Su-27 mirror version of this mission along with a MP F-15 vs Su-27 version. As of right now, if both sides have players, Red might be slightly overpowered.

That would be great. Please let me know how it goes, actual online testing will help with the development of the MP dedicated F-15 vs Su-27 version.
