enigma6584 Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Okay, I've got a question for you guys. Just got the Su-27 today. Been testing it and mapping my HOTAS controls etc. I've noticed when taking off she really rocks from side to side really bad. Is this normal? How do you guys conduct smooth take-offs? I'm not sure if this is normal PFM behavior with this lovely bird or something is messed up with my trim. After a certain speed she becomes fairly stable after that and I can fly her nice and smooth with proper trim.
ophiuchus Posted November 11, 2014 Posted November 11, 2014 Well, I would say that Su-27 is fairly stable. And for sure a lot more than MiG-21, or even F-15 thanks to wider main wheels separation. I never used afterburner during takeoff, I'm gonna try it an see, if there's any difference.
