Saiteck X52 Pro(setting buttons)

Ok so i've had this for awhile no an I'm wanting to assign certain buttons on the stick in the controls pg for various aircraft but when I click some buttons on the stick it does'nt assign them to that(like it's not taking or execepting it(nothing happends). I'm trying to change keys for better speed break control an no matter how many times I scroll that wheel nothing happends. I would add it manually but I'm not exactly sure which one to click to set it. Is there somewhere I can download a good daigram of what buttons are what so I can assign them properly.

The wheel is an axis, the speed brake control you are trying to assign is expecting a button press. You can only assign axis controls (knobs, wheels, sliders, etc.) to items on the axis page under controls.

When you open the Saitek software and assign a keystroke to a button it will ask you if you want to save when you close the program. Of course you would select "yes" I learned long ago that after I have closed the software window I must access the profile menu with a right click on the taskbar icon, click "clear profile" and then activate the profile. For some reason it's necessary to clear the profile after changes have been made before the changes become available. Try that and see what happens.

Ah k thanx that explains why :D. Was only trying to assign ingame, have no clue how to use the profile editor(SST). Wish there was a key(button) layout/diagram etc for the stick would help some too. This is what happens when u play shooters for many yrs, an than use a cheapy Wal Mart special stick for 1st joystick, only got this X52pro as a upgrade to the CyborgX I had.
