SJH-HBH Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Why can this indicator not go to the "afterburner" zones, when the throttle is pushed Max ?
GeorgeLKMT Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Are you talking about RPM indicators not going past 96%? That's a feature. RPM doesn't really increase in afterburner ;) ■ L-39C/ZA Czech cockpit mod ■ My DCS skins ■
GGTharos Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 The FTITs and RPMs max out at specific values, in particular the actual RPM value also depends on altitude, weather, etc. You check afterburner stage by looking at the nozzle gauges once you go past the MIL detent. mvsgas Posted November 17, 2014 Posted November 17, 2014 Nozzle position, fuel flow and noise is the only way to tell AB is lit on several aircraft in RL ( AFAIK F-16, 15, 18, etc) To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..
