NightFighter Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Hello. I'm very new to DCS and was given the Huey mod. Learning how to play. I am having an issue that I cannot see the reticle when sitting in the right seat. I'm running the training mission and it says to hit the letter"m". I do this, and the M-21 system interface drops for the left-seater, but not for the right seater, regardless of which seat I'm in, and regardless which mission I am in. In the training mission when I'm in the right seat and hit "m" it does progress like I've hit the right button and continues, but It doesn't drop down for me. This means I can only select the guns, no rockets. :-( Anyone have any ideas why it would only show for the left seat and not the right? Also, I few helicopters in the Army. real helo's don't settle with power near as easy as this bird seems to, it's very unrealistic imho. Then again, I only have a couple hours in it, so I am still just learning the flight model.
tommytank Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 I think you need to do the mission from LH seat and it won't progress if you don't hit M anyway, but the RH sight can be bought down and lit with RALT +M and RSHIFT + M or something like that. Try on the ground before you get airborne.
NightFighter Posted November 28, 2014 Author Posted November 28, 2014 (edited) try... Thank you. I will try that to try to get it to come down, however rockets can only be fired from the right seat. If I can't get the reticle on the right seat I will not be able to aim the rockets. Edited November 28, 2014 by NightFighter
Cibit Posted November 28, 2014 Posted November 28, 2014 Hi you need to release the pilots sight manually just look up its obvious. If you go to the left hand seat once you lower the pilot sight you can reach across to press the power switch which is located behind the sight. Hope this makes sense:) i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB

skendzie Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Also, make sure to turn on the lamp. I think it's the O key but I'm not sure. I always just shift to the co-pilot seat, look right and turn on the lamp switch manually (located above the pilot sight).
