DCS 1.2.12 cockpit texture support

Hi

 

On the DCS World 1.2.12 Change log from USSR_Rik it was announced the possibility to choose the MIG-21 interior cockpit texture.

Added custom cockpit texture support (E.g. Select Gray, Finnish, Chinese or Green versions from drop-down menu!)

 

Which drop-down menu... ?

I can't find that option after the last update...

There's already a box in the setup. Just go to Mig 21 specific options and check the custom livery support box.

Yes, but where is the drop down menu to actually select a livery?

Not sure but would guess refers to same livery selection you have in payload options.

I'm still trying to figure out how that all works for the sake of updating the finnish cockpit mod to the new system.

 

Edit:

It might be the "language" selection in DCS Options menu but we would need a way to add new languages into that selection somehow..

And if I'm not mistaken only ED can do that at the moment?

I needed to check the checkbox - otherwise all instruments where dead.

currently, put all your finnish dds to custom folder, then modify the description.lua file. Then in game option, check the custom cockpit. then you can have finnish texture in pit.

Hmm.. I tried that at one point with no success.. I'll try that again.

 

Edit: that does work but only if cockpit language is set to "english" in DCS Options and the "custom" checkbox is selected. Seems like if language is "russian" then custom selection does not have effect.
