il_corleone Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Hello, when the Bf 109 is less than 5% trotthle, I lost frames, I dont know if is only me, or only in cockpit My system is Gtx 760 I5 3.4Ghz 6Gb Ram 1920x1080 Distance mod to Extreme All on High, not civil traffic, all distance to 10.000 and bushes to max Solid 50-60 Fps on normal circunstances Track attachedaterrizaje109.trk
Dutchy93 Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 I have this too. When I idle my engine I get severe FPS loss. say about 2 frame a second or even less. This is how I ended op being wrecked at final. But oddly enough this only happens in flight. When I start up my engine (cold start) I have no issues.
Aluminum Donkey Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Same here! Same thing happens to me too guys. il_corleone, I'm using a GTX 760 as well (great card for this sim!) and I was wondering if it's a card/driver specific problem. Obviously it's still a Beta release and the ED dudes are pouring all their efforts into the new EDGE engine, but the 109 will rock when it's been refined a bit :) A. ophiuchus Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 I have GTX 560 and it does not happen. So to give you a clue as for various GPUs.
Aluminum Donkey Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 I have my framerate limited to 40 FPS in graphics.cfg, but at idle throttle it drops by about half! Maybe I could try disabling some antialiasing options and see if it helps. With my Q6600 and GTX 760 I've always found the framerate to be CPU-limited though, not GPU. What AA settings are you using with your 560? Sethorion Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 I have the same issue. FPS drops to <5 when I go close to idle after having throttled up. If I leave the throttle near idle then my FPS evens out, until I throttle up and then re-attempt to go near idle. My specs: i5-6600k, R9 280, 16Gb DDR4, 240Gb SSD. My game is a fresh install, latest GPU and audio drivers. I can't find a solution.
Sethorion Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 I just fixed a super choppy frame rate issue in the 109 I would experience when I throttle down. I fixed it by changing my power settings to maximum performance! My CPU was being under clocked when I was in game, and when I switched my Windows 7 power settings to maximum performance it was leaving my CPU (i5-6600k) at its' maximum performance - problem solved! :)
