SharpeXB Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Something I notice on footage of real aircraft compared to DCS is the shine on the surface in the sun. Especially the 190 and 109 since they aren't reflective like the P-51 or matte like the modern planes. The matte paint finish doesn't seem to be correct. Watch the video here. Is this something that might be addressed with EDGE? The screenshots of the aluminum F-86 on the DCS website look much better and are probably made with the new graphics engine. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5

German aircraft paints of that era is know to have semi-gloss finish when fresh, not full matte. In K4 first teaser video it looks like there is more gloss in paint, so maybe EDGE will adress this.
