uboats Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I happened to notice that in my newly created mission, the snapview was not loaded when I was in any cockpit. But it does work in my long ago created mission. I checked that 'Options->Misc.->User snapview saving' checkbox is checked, but in Saved Games/DCS/Config/options.lua, there is NO entry of snapview under options[miscellaneous] (no matter snapview checkbox is checked or not). AFAIK, any modification in Options will be saved in options.lua). ["miscellaneous"] = { ["Coordinate_Display"] = "Lat Long", ["accidental_failures"] = false, ["f10_awacs"] = true, ["f11_free_camera"] = true, ["f5_nearest_ac"] = true, ["force_feedback_enabled"] = false, ["headmove"] = false, ["synchronize_controls"] = true, }, (for below results, the snapview checkbox is checked) Then I opened miz file and found the difference: 1. the old mission file that allows snapview has a Config/View folder and several view lua files inside. 2. the new mission file (snapview is not available) does not have that Config/View folder ** Moreover, in the newly created mission, the long/lat head movement is NOT responsible (using either rshift+rctrl + / or * or 4 or 6, OR moving mouse while pressing wheel button doesn't work at all). While in that old mission (snapview works), those movements are available. ** So it makes me confused and it seems that snapview activation is only determined by whether there is a Config/View folder with Snapviewdefault.lua file in the miz file or not. And the snapview checkbox in Options->Misc. is just a decoration.Black Sea Free Flight 1.2.12 no_snapview.mizBlack Sea Free Flight 1.2.12.miz [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] My DCS Mods, Skins, Utilities and Scripts | Windows 10 | i7-4790K | GTX 980Ti Hybrid | 32GB RAM | 3TB SSD | | TM Warthog Stick | CH Pro Throttle + Pro Pedal | TIR5 Pro | TM MFD Cougar | Gun Camera: PrtScn |
