Im coming back to the flight sim genre after a while out and would appreciate some advice on what the optimal setup could be for my hardware spec.

I have 2x 27" monitors and 1x 21" (which can be rotated 90°) monitor, plus an ipad2. Im looking to ease in with flaming cliffs 3, before advancing to A-10c.

What would you folks suggest i show on each screen? Would you bother with the 21" monitor at sll?

Thinking about it further, i like the idea of running iControl on the pad for my MFDs, so then one 27 monitor could be my main cockpit display and the other my dials. Assuming that's possible?

If you have a beefy enough system you could try to run the 2x27" as your main display and the 21" for your MFD's and dials. Do you have TM Cougar MFD's Or, is that why you wish to use the iPad touch screen for the MFD's?

Do a search for threads by PeterP he is the master of multi-monitor setup. There is also a Configuration tool that many people have used to setup their monitors.

I run two monitors, 30" main and 21" for MFD's & gagues, etc... My specs are listed below. I have no problem running on high settings with some tweaks.

Regarding FC3, I believe they do not export gauges/dials just the Shkval, HDD, FCR scopes depending on the aircraft. The DCS aircraft like the A-10C or Ka-50 do export all the gauges/dials etc.
