Robonator Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Hello everyone, I am Robonator, i am 19 and from Germany. I have been looking around for a bit and now i decided to write in the forums. I read a bit the Squadron Thread but i don't think i fit into the squads i found so far. I don't want to roleplay or play like super realistic and serious, i just want to learn the game and have fun with other people. I am pretty new to DCS. I have played the SU-25t Tutorial and a few smaller Mission with it, but i want to learn more about the game and play with other people. I do plan to maybe get a few more planes, because i like it so far. I do think it would make sense for me to go and look for a german squadron but the ones i found so far are either inactive or have requirements i can't meet. I am open for an english speaking squad, too as long as my own english wouldn't be a problem. (you know, german accent etc ;) ) i think i can meet the requirements for gear because i have a decent computer and an X55 Rhino Hotas + TrackIR. So is there any group/squad/bunch of people that would pick me up, train me and then use me as professional cannon fodder? I also want to say Hi! to the community since i just registered.
NeilWillis Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Hi Robonator, There are quite a number of European based virtual squadrons. At RAF Air we're happy to help you with training, and we have a high end dedicated server. Check us out on http://www.rafairuk.co.uk. Neil
Robonator Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 Hey Neil thanks for the answer. Your site looks pretty good. How exactly would it work to join you guys? Do i just register and book such a training or do i get someone who will guide me a bit or something else?
NeilWillis Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 You're welcome to just join in on any flight night, and then we can discuss what kind of training you'd need. Do you have the A-10C module, and the Hawk? They're the main airframes we fly, though we do also have a Red Air contingent. Regular flying nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 20:00 GMT, but the server is up at all times. We have a dedicated Teamspeak server too, with a link on the website.
Robonator Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 Yes saw the teamspeak but it seems to be empty right now. I do not have any module yet besides the free one. I do plan on buying them though.
Richard Rodgers Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Hi Robonator, following on from Neil. You can register on the main site and once one of the admins accepts your registration you will receive an email asking you to contact Marcus. Please ignore this for the moment and contact myself(richard.rodgers@rafairuk.co.uk) when you wish to get a flight with one of us and Neil or I will get things sorted for you. Do not worry about your German accented English. We have two guys from Slovakia and they get on just fine.
Robonator Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 Okay thanks! I just registered now and will do what you said
