irfanahmed1979 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 I made a free flight mission for practicing cold startup and takeoff and flight in general for the UH-1H huey. When I was adding the helicopter at lochini, it gave me 3 tower frequencies in the information for the airbase. Which ones do I use and are there any for nav, etc? Furthermore, my own frequency is also shown in the aircraft info. Is it for multiplayer? CPU: Core i7 7700k, Mobo: GA-Z270x Gaming 7 rev. 1, RAM: 2 x 8GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 3200 MHz, GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 Amp Edition, SSD: Samsung 850 pro 512 GB, SSD: 2 x Samsung 850 EVO 512 GB (RAID 0), Intel 530 Series 240GB SSD, HDD: WD 2TB Caviar Black, TrackIR 5, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, CH PRO Pedals.
kontiuka Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 first: VHF AM, second: FM, third: UHF You should be able to contact the tower using any one of those 3. The frequency for your own aircraft is what you use to contact your wingmen in single player. Not sure how it works in multiplayer. The default seems to be a UHF frequency. Yes, there are VOR stations you can tune into with your NAV radio and NDB stations you can tune into with ADF radio. You can go here to download a beacon map for DCS World ... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=120699&highlight=beacon

They are for the different aircraft types that might only have radios that support a specific frequency range. Frequencies for navigation equipment (ILS, VOR, NDB, etc.) are noted on the map (in the mission editor or downloadable in the user files section). Your own frequency is the default frequency your radio is set up for to communicate with your flight/wingmen.
