Hi fellow pilots!

I noticed some things about the engine sounds:

- The "specific engine startup sound" seems to have left the game, both in cockpit and outside view. This is what I mean:

I believe I heard that in an older promo video (possible by the old author which I can't find anymore), but now it has definitely left the game. Instead the engine only slowly spools up to the same sound it has during normal operation.

Not that it's high priority or anything, it was just a pretty cool sound and should be in the game because it adds a lot to the "feel" IMHO.

- Is it possible that the engine during normal operation is too quiet in the cockpit?

Because it seems to me that the AC Generator (with canopy open!), or even the DC Generator and the Fuel pumps (with canopy closed) are louder than the engine. Not sure if this is intended, but it seems kind of weird to me.

This is at subsonic speeds. Around Mach 1 and supersonic speeds, the wind around the canopy become dominating (which adds a lot to the feel, I just don't know if that's correct).

Not sure if that's supposed to be that way and obviously not high priority, just something I noticed.

ps.: I do have all sounds turned up to equal (100%) volume.

It's been hinted for quite a few months that the MiG's sounds would go through a major "overhaul" once DCS 2 is here. Today's update by LN seems to confirm that. So let's wait and see what these guys will come up with.

i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
