feefifofum Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Greetings all, Apologies for joining the community with a request for help but I am thoroughly confused. I am running Win 8.1, using a TM Warthog HOTAS and newly purchased Saitek ProFlight Combat Rudder pedals. All hardware is functioning properly according to Windows with no cross communication or misbehavior. I have checked and double checked all of my control bindings in DCS and there are no controls assigned to rudder besides the Saitek. I have been flying F-15C, I have not explored other modules since adding the pedals to my setup a few hours ago. When I start an instant action mission in a hot pit, everything works magnificently, no issues, and it is a joy to fly. When I try to start the campaign, from a cold pit on the runway, my rudders stick about 30% to the left as soon as I turn on my electronics and ignite my engines. If I move the joystick on my Warthog all the way to the right, the rudders return to their zero position. If I move the joystick to the left, the rudders follow another 30% or so. The rudder pedals continue to behave normally. Again, I have double checked axis assignments and simplified flight control key bindings, and do not see any ghost input in axis tune or windows when I pause and check in-game in campaign or IA, or from the main menu. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC

Beach07 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Hi, I seem to be having this same issue and no clue on how to fix it. Up to this point, I've mainly played multiplayer. But just recently I decided to give the campaign a try and noticed I was having this issue as well. It isn't controller-specific, as I'm using an X52 Pro. However, this issue does not occur in multiplayer whatsoever, and does not occur if I create a mission through any of the mission options. It seems to only be specific to the F-15 campaign. If I view my aircraft from the outside when the mission starts, the rudders will be aligned correctly. However, once one of the engines begins to spool, the rudders will suddenly face one direction. This makes it very difficult to take off correctly. I also noticed that once I'm no longer on the ground, the rudders will return to normal position and flying is fine. But once again upon landing, they will face the wrong direction the moment I touch the ground. I don't believe it's an issue with my controller setup, as I've said this only seems to happen in the F-15 campaign. Anyone know what might be causing this?
ED Team cofcorpse Posted January 7, 2015 ED Team Posted January 7, 2015 I think this is a bug: rudder trims with wind at ground. It is known, reported and fixed in internal version. You can check your pedals by controls indicator (RCtrl+Enter). If pedals in neutral and rudder is deflected - everything is ok with your hardware.
Beach07 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Ah, well that's good to know. Thanks for the input, cofcorpse. I'll just hold off on the campaign untill next build is released.
feefifofum Posted January 9, 2015 Author Posted January 9, 2015 You'll have to micromanage the takeoff a little more than you ought to, but if you can get into the air without veering off of the runway the rudder will correct itself once you lift off. THE GEORGIAN WAR - OFFICIAL F-15C DLC
